Jewar International Airport is a proposed airport to be constructed in Jewar (56 kilometres (35 mi) from Noida) in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will be the implementing agency on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh State Government. The airport is to be developed on a Public Private Partnership model (PPP). The proposed plan is to build a two runway airport by 2022-23 and then, at a future date, to extend it to a 7200-acre 6-runway airport.
The airport is located 7 miles (11km) south of the Downtown Atlanta district. The airport has 192 gates: 152 domestic and 40 international. ATL covers 4,700 acres (1,902 ha) of land and has five parallel runways. Hartsfield–Jackson held its ranking as the world’s busiest airport in 2012, both in passengers and number of flights, by accommodating 100 million passengers (more than 260,000 passengers daily) and 950,119 flights.
